Recruitment of a full-time consultant – Project Development Specialist (Mid-Level)

SETIN is looking for a specialist to integrate its team.
Location and duration
12 months, home-based.
May be required to travel to Rome for initial capacity building reasons or for attending other meetings and to project sites for field visits and consultations.
Objective of the consultancy
The main objective of the consultancy is to support the SETIN team in their recurrent activities and in the implementation of the assignments.
The incumbent will participate in the following activities:
- Preparation of technical reports.
- Contribution to the preparation of technical proposals and administrative documentations for tenders.
- Participation in weekly meetings on recurrent activities and technical meetings on the projects with the SETIN’s team
- Online consultations with project stakeholders.
- If needed and if the incumbent is available, participation in field missions.
Requirements
Academic Qualifications:
A Minimum of a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in biology, biodiversity and conservation, environmental engineering, environmental sciences, natural resources management, social science or related field is required.
Competency and experience:
At least a 5 years’ post-master working experience or a 7-year post-bachelor working experience.
At least a 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: natural resource management, biodiversity conservation, protected areas management and planning, conservation and climate finance, environmental and social assessment, climate change mitigation and adaptation, land degradation, social and environmental safeguards.
Full working proficiency in Italian or Portuguese (at least C1) and experience in the preparation of reports in Italian or Portuguese (at least C1). Candidate without these competencies will not be considered.
Full working proficiency in English and experience in the preparation of reports in English.
Spreadsheet skills.
Working experience at the international level, with donor-funded projects as an asset.
Working proficiency in Portuguese and/or Italian and/or French as an asset.
